• The ResQup helps a fallen person get up off of the floor.
• The 3 horizontal levels help the patient ascend into a seated position.
• The ResQup is designed to reduce shoulder, wrist and hand strain.
An incremental and physiologically integrated system of horizontal levels.
Comfortable Support
Each of the ResQup's levels is positioned at the optimal height of strength during the patient's ascent.
The three levels also have sloped leading edges with a non-slip padded gripping surface.
Underneath the level's lateral edges are handgrips for additional grip.
How it Works
Weighing only 15 lbs., the ResQup can be retrieved and placed into position quickly while the patient is on the floor.
The three levels make it easier for an individual to reach chair height (around 18 inches) in one of 2 ways:
1. Pushing themselves up the ResQUp’ s levels with their hands
2. Pushing themselves up using their elbows with minimal or no additional assistance from a caregiver
Each of the ResQup's levels Height:
Level 1: 4."
Level 2: 9"
Level 3: 13.5"
How it is Made
The ResQup is made from low-density polypropylene and is manufactured using rotational molding methods.
This molding method creates a durable composite material that weighs only 15 lbs but can support up to 300 lbs
Connecting the ResQup's composite levels are high-quality stainless steel self-locking fasteners that do not require regular maintenance or service.
The ResQUp was designed and engineered by licensed Physical Therapist, Dr. Al Peraza. With over 20 years of clinical experience, Dr. Peraza was inspired to create a simple, portable, and inexpensive device to assist those with mobility impairments.
