Mayo Clinic Diet

The Mayo Clinic Diet claims to help you shed 6 to 10 pounds in two weeks and to continue losing 1 to 2 pounds weekly until you've hit your goal weight. 

Through a combination of breaking old eating habits and replacing them with good ones you will find weight loss success.

The diet includes 2 parts: 

1)   Lose It

2)   Live It

Part 1 of the diet, Lost it, focuses on 15 key habits to add and ditch.

For example:

- Add 30 minutes of physical activity a day

- Add a healthy breakfast

- Eat lots of fruits, veggies, and whole grains

- Stop eating while watching TV

- Stop eating Sugar

- Stop snacking

- Stop eating out

After 2 weeks, you begin part 2 of the plan. "Lose it" teaches you how many calories you should eat to lose of maintain weight and where you should get those calories.

Rather than measuring each grain of rice's calorie count. The Mayo Clinic diet focuses on counting calories per servings. From there you can divide your daily necessary count to find your total serving count per food group and per meal.
