Life With Alzheimer's: Still Alice

February 21, 2015

Lisa Genova's best selling novel "Still Alice" was recently adapted into an acclaimed film starring Juliane Moore.

Moore's performance as a woman diagnosed with early on set Alzheimer's is heavily favorited to win tomorrow's Best Actress Oscar category.

The Today show recently interviewed both Genova and the film's actors about the film's goals and its impact on the Alzheimer's community.

Genova says that her "biggest hope for the book and the movie is for people to understand Alzheimer's in a way. That people are not just at an end stage in a nursing home. It's that people are still people with Alzheimer's. Their identity and worthiness as a human being is still there."
