What to Drink As You Get Older

February 14, 2015

The National Institute on Aging has produced an informative overview of the most important liquids.

Water is extremely important for healthy digestion and the necessary reactions in the body.

"Make water a part of your day"

Aging can sometimes impair your ability to sense thirst so it can be essential to get in the habit.

Other healthy beverage options include:

  • Iced Tea
  • 100 % Fruit Juice
  • Unsweetened Ice Tea

And a diet full of fresh fruit and vegetables is both healthy hydrating.

Be sure to limit Sports drinks, soda, and alcohol they are all high sources of empty calories and little to no hydration.
